Not sure what to build using #NoCode? Use one of these ideas for inspiration.

Written 2024

Struggling to find the "perfect" idea to pursue? Spend less time focusing on "perfect." Pick an idea that interests you, addresses a pain point that you are familiar with, and / or grows your skill set in some way. Even if it's not "perfect," even if it's something that you later decide to mothball, the time you spend may lead to better ideas and opportunities.

Still stuck? Use one of the ideas below for inspiration or look at #nocode examples curated by Mark Bowley.

Still stuck and don't like one of these ideas? Randomly pick one as a starter. Then write down 6 variations of it. Keep iterating.

On Where It Happens, I pitched @gregisenberg & @theSamParr on the idea of a home concierge startup.

• $500 monthly fee
• Single POC for your home
• Proactive & reactive services
• Pay premium to providers for priority
• Regional focus

I love it. Who wants to build this?

TIP: Go back and listen to past episodes of My First Million or other favorite podcasts. What have others done that has excited you? Are there opportunities there that you can pursue too?

GUYS. influencer marketing is a nightmare 😂😭 on both sides of it.

y'all influencers are hard to reach, unreliable and inconsistent.

and y'all brands are flaky, unreliable and inconsistent. (and often cheap 😂)

somebody fix it please

Fun side project idea 💡

An app that shows a random gm tweets to inspire you

Let it be called ‘wagmi’

Let’s start a thread of problems to solve…

What challenge do you face in life or work that’s sufficiently problematic?

The more specific and unique the better.

Here are the top 5 projects you should build if you're just getting started in #nocode:

🏓 Chatbot
🏓 Curated directory
🏓 Personal website
🏓 Custom to-do list app (yep I went there 😅)
🏓 Job board

What am I missing?

— Max Haining 💯 (@HainingMax) August 20, 2021

I wrote a list of 30 businesses you can run online using no-code tools. Feeling pretty inspired by how much you can do without code.

Let me know if there's any I missed and I'll add inhttps://t.co/BjMqXZ1YTI

I want a calendar that tells me I am booking way too many meetings & will get stressed out.

Startup idea:

Upwork but focused on creator economy needs

A talent marketplace (masked as an EA service) dedicated to fast-growing Twitter creators?

Deliverables/services can include:
Well-formatted tweets
Threads
Shitposting or memes
Shareable Canva posters
Transcriptions

I'm so tired of having this idea and no one building it. So it's yours if you want it. Rebundl: ONE DESKTOP APP for all your communities (@CircleApp, @SlackHQ, @Facebook, @reddit, @MightyNetworks, @tribecomms, etc...). Think https://t.co/F7jCyX40nW but for communities. Plz make!

Free startup idea: Comparison site for non-dilutive loans for startups.

For example startups connect Stripe, share metrics, etc then revenue-based financing companies compete for new loans based on lowest interest rate or best terms.

Basically CreditKarma for startups.

— Andrew Gazdecki (@agazdecki) May 29, 2021

Let's say you're a piano teacher or a math tutor.

What service lets you manage:
- subscriptions / payments
- calendar / booking
- customer message
- broadcast messaging
- content for subscribers
- basic landing page

If this doesn't exist, there is a startup here.

3/ I wish there was a resource that I could use to understand based on my location how long it would take to get a visa, get a consultation in the embassy, prepare the package of t he docs and stuff like that.

More inclusively rather then just for Europe or US folks.

How is there not 1 great calendar app?

My primary email is not google. Someone shares a calendar to my private email. For me to have it show up on my Google Calendar I now have to request access to my gmail email. 😠

Why are calendars so broken still?

— Carri Craver (@ccgirl) February 2, 2021

Twitter needs a feature to “remind me of this Tweet later”.

— Victoria Wood (@VickyWould) January 5, 2021

Talking with a lot of friends looking for work last year. The finding a job process is broken.

We can all do better at showing care to all applicants.

Product request:

A better way for newsletter writers to house their content in a sortable and searchable database.

Too much amazing evergreen content gets lost in newsletter archives.

There are few better ways to find opportunities in a market than a simple google search of this variety:

“competitor name” sucks.

I wish @Twitter had a way to let me tweet about two completely different niches/interests, and not bother someone with the niche/interest they didn't follow me for

— Joe Brown (@cuhpajo) December 20, 2020

I can’t remotely keep up with mentions and DMs anymore. Feels sad to ignore people who have responded though. What do people who manage their own Twitter accounts do for this?

— Tiago Forte (@fortelabs) December 18, 2019

An idea? @dribbble, but for copywriters

Does this exist yet?

— KP (@thisiskp_) December 16, 2020

If people email back and forth files between each other, that’s a SaaS business waiting to happen.

(Observe your own emails and when this happens to you. Chances are you might find an interesting niche.)

How has no one in tech revolutionized apartment hunting yet? There has to be a better way.

Business idea: Make content for people who want to sell their company.

∙ 10-part podcast about the business model

∙ Company history interviews with key executives

∙ Videos about the future of the company

If they're good, they'll be shared widely which may attract a buyer.

Is there a good universal inbox app? Something that centralizes emails, Twitter DMs, WhatsApp, SMS, Signal, etc in one place? Checking so many inboxes regularly is a pain.

— Leo Polovets (@lpolovets) August 8, 2020

If you’re good at getting things done, one of the best career decisions you can make is to team up with an fast growing content creator and run their business operations.
